“Bancheto” / “Banchetto” Along Emerald Avenue at Ortigas Center Pasig City

if you have a nightshift working schedule and you work around Ortigas, then most probably, you knew about Bancheto all along! Hooray for you!

Well, for those of you who have not gone or even have heard the name yet. Try to go to Ortigas center at Pasig starting at 12mm up to 5am every saturday morning, I am very sure you will see there a lot of people gathered to have their so-called “lunch” at the wee hours of the day.

Anyway, what is Bancheto / banchetto by the way?

I googled the word “bancheto” but found only surnames, instead I got a definition from this word “banchett?” which means a feast or a banquette. Meaning banchetto is nothing more than a place wherein you see a lot of food thus the name Banchetto.

Well, what can I see there anyway?

The answer can not be simply spoken of. You must see it for yourself, of course with the help first of some of my pictures.

We went there at around 2am in the morning of saturday. Well, I was with my co-night shift buddies when we went there. It was an attempt to at least experience the Banchetto before going back to our regular working schedule which is the morning shift.

I grab one of them half-pound burgers with added cheese for around 140pesos. Well, you can have rice if you wanted to, ala jollibee style. Then I also ate a pizza bread from a nearby shop which costed me around 35 pesos. And finally, a shake from Fruitas which costs around 55 pesos to fill my thirsty throat.

Well, my chosen foods were a bit pricey but hey, this is my first time to have eaten some of them.
