Avilon Zoo – Visiting San Isidro (Montalban) Rizal

I was checking out some old photos when I managed to see my trip to Avilon Zoo album which was more than a year ago… So I figured out I need to post it here at pinoypalaboy.

What is Avilon Zoo?

Avilon Zoo is a 7.5 hectare park located at Barrio San Isidro, Rodriguez (formerly Montalban), Rizal, Philippines. They offer guided tours and educational fieldtrips showcasing some of the animal species popular in the Philippines and as well as those who are already endangered.

How much do we pay to be able to go inside Avilon Zoo?

According to their website avilonzoo.com.ph, entrance fee are as follows:

AVILON ZOO ENTRANCE FEE

ADULT = PHP300

CHILD = PHP200 BELOW 3.5FEET

SENIOR = PHP300 LESS 20% PLEASE PRESENT SENIOR I.D. -MANAGEMENT-

How to Contact Avilon Zoo?

Do they have a parking area?

Yes, in fact the parking space is quite big… but only as big as a basket ball court. So if you are planning on bringing the whole barangay then I guess you should check out your options first hehe

Do they have a canteen or a cafeteria, or something else like that?

Again this is a yes… they do have one… but the food, ahm nah… I was not satisfied with the food compared with the price. But I was thinking that supporting their cafeteria means I am supporting Avilon Zoo. Meaning more food for the animals! or was I the only one thinking about that?

Is the place close to the main road?

Well, if 2kms seems close to you? hahah! No, you would have to go through a series of “barangays” or small communities before reaching Avilon Zoo.

Is the road made of concrete?

Not all of them. But what I saw last year (re: road construction) might be included in the development of the place. By the way, the have small roads but enough to accommodate a school bus or a commercial bus.
