The 7,107 islands of the Philippine archipelago are not just a marvel to behold but a paradise to taste and experience.
Different tastes and exotic flavors are bound to be savored in one of the most exciting food event of the country — the International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines in yet another stimulating exhibition of the various food treasures that can only be seen in the Philippines
Close to 300 food manufacturers, distributors and exporters will showcase the country’s different delectable food ideas at the 2010 edition of the International Food Exhibition Philippines (IFEX)
IFEX on its 7th year remains to be one of the premier sourcing hubs of appetizing, healthy, unique and quality Filipino gastronomic delights. This annual trade fair is led by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, (CITEM) an attached agency of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
In a bid to usher local food companies into the international scene, IFEX prepared a bigger and better show this year by coming up with fresh concepts to further raise the level of Philippine food excellence: spot selling, product and cooking demonstrations, and market testing of new products.
Indulge your palate with tempting treats and food feasts from the shows various features such as International Hall featuring authentic food trends and culture from participating countries; Best of Partner Region Program (BPRP) showcasing unique delicacies that reflect the culinary heritage of regions 4A (Calabarzon), 5 (Bicol), 7 (Central Visayas), 10 (Northern Mindanao) and 13 (CARAGA); Trendy Awards recognizing the most innovative food manufacturers in the local food scene; and Package Design Partnership Program featuring food companies together with creative students who came up with design savvy packaging.
With the theme “Celebrate the Flavors,” IFEX will feature a robust collection of products in various categories such as Beverages, Meat and Poultry, Natural, Herbal and Organic Products, Biscuits, Snacks, and Confectioneries, Fine Food and Specialties, Marine Products, Fresh and Processed Fruits and vegetables. The show will also feature Allied Products and food related services.
IFEX is also a must attend event for chefs, gourmets, and entrepreneurs looking for unique ingredients and a quality sourcing hub for international companies such as Wal-Mart, Hirasho Shoten, Health Co. Ltd., Heuschen Schrouff, Manning Impex, Five Rings, and Wilby commercial.
“Good quality and low prices are the main reasons why I buy food products in IFEX. The Philippines has very good raw materials and perfect climate, the country has a great potential because of its geography and the other important advantage is the language proficiency of Filipinos,” shared David Smith a buyer from Norway.
